OK - 3D has made a splash in the past few months with some great 3D Movies at the cinemas and the release of 3D Televisions for the home.

So what do you think about 3D TV for the home? Is it something you are considering or have you indeed purchased one? Or are you just not fussed about the whole thing?

I really keep going back and forth. I want to like it, and sometimes I’ll watch a demo and think that the extra image depth really adds something. Other times I’ll watch a demo and can’t wait to take the glasses off because of double vision and headaches.

I think it’ll be OK for Blu-rays now and again, but I don’t see it as something people are going to spend hours watching nightly TV in the format

Personally, it is a niche market.  The cost is too high, and the requirements are more then 99% of consumers will be willing to spend.  That is assuming you are willing to ignore the fact that many people can’t watch 3d without getting headaches etc

I realy like that 3D is here but the facts are we are at least 3-5 years away from it being a one level platform. Right now there are way to many diffrent technologies being tossed together, in a few years it will all get ironed out and the best options will come to light.
