I have been reading EH for several years and one thing has always puzzled me: why is it so slow?  I have a very fast cable connection and all of the other web sites I visit are pretty fast (varies somewhat).  Electronic House is way slower.  It takes an average of 10 seconds to change pages!  What could possibly take 10 seconds of computer time?
Is it the adds that are slow or what?  I really like the content of EH but, really dont have the patience for it.

Agreed.  Its unbearable.  I do love the content and would love to read more articles but I am not about to sit down and wait 15 seconds for each picture to load.  Anytime you click on a link I’m literally waiting 10-20 seconds on average.  And this is true from any internet connection I’ve tried.  At work with a 1GB internet service its the same speeds as my home.  Perhaps electronic house needs to up their bandwidth allocation or get a new hosting provider because this is terrible.
