I currently have a Sony BDV-E570 home theater system and for some time now I have been interested in replacing the mini sound bar Sony provides with a more high quality one. I have been looking into LG to tie into my LG 60” 3D Plasma tv.

What my question is with the sony system they provide special connectors for the back of their audio system and i was interested in your opinions in regards to sound quality if i was to splice a different sound bar into this system if it would provide any real difference in sound quality. I understand i could ultimately control the sound bar via remote provided but I’m interested in sound quality.
