AL - We have Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers
NL - We have Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers

Both baseball players played on winning teams so i’m sure that had a lot to do with it. However, they had great baseball seasons. It’s a surprise that a starting pitcher can take the prize, but he did deserve it. He was very dominate and a big reason why the Tigers made the playoffs.

Not sure why so many people didn’t like a starting baseball pitcher to win the award. I think the pitcher is like the QB in football. Verlander totally deserved it.

As for Braun, he had a great season too. Many people thought Matt Kemp got snubbed. Braun has a great baseball season and really did so many things well. Hats off to Ryan.

I like both players. It’s great for two mid market teams with great fan bases. Detroit baseball and now Milwauke is definitely turning heads all across the nation. I think Braun is a really likeable character and has a huge marketing potential. It’s been a great week for baseball fans honoring these two players.

Yeah what a bunch of whiners. Of course other people deserved it, but the these two guys had a great baseball season. One they’ll both remember for a long time, along with many pro baseball fans.

I love watching baseball. These guys were all over the baseball newswires all year. They’re likable guys and i’m not disappointed at all. I’m not a fan of either players or the teams they play on, but i respect all players and teams, even though i’m a Marlins fan.

Congrats to both guys!

It’s been a storybook year for Verlander. If he can win a championship and snag a hot supermodel wife, he’ll be the Tom Brady of baseball. Oh yeah, and get a weird looking hair do too!

Hey you’ll mine as well throw in a baseball video game cover for Verlander and call it a day. I mean what other awards could you possibly dream of winning all in one year, let alone an entire career. Especially for a starting pitcher.
