We’ve seen a lot of 4K Ultra HD TVs this year. Of course, 4K can deliver an eye-popping picture that’s four times the resolution of a 1080p TV. However, if you aren’t quite ready to jump into the 4K experience (and the expense that comes with it), there are plenty of brand-new HDTVs that are pretty gorgeous and extremely affordable.
For instance, Sharp flat screen TV is alive, well, and the focus of the company’s most recent announcement. That’s not to say that Sharp doesn’t offer some great 4K TVs. However, the latest news is that the Sharp AQUOS LE653/LE654 Full HD Smart TV Series is now shipping.
Available in six Sharp flat screen TV sizes, all of the LE653/LE654 models have a full 1080p HD image. Each of these Sharp flat screen TV options also include a dual-core processor and built-in WiFi. Those perks make it easier (and faster) to access each set’s SmartCentral Apps, which is Sharp’s smart TV platform. These web-based perks are a big focus here, delivering easy, fast access to popular apps such as Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, Flickr and Picasa, right out of the box. Also worth mentioning is that each of these TVs has the option to pull up a full web browser.

The 43-, 48- and 55-inch models also have AquoMotion 120, with the 65-incher getting AquoMotion 240. That extra boost can deliver smooth images during sports and action scenes. Other features across the lineup include a wallpaper mode, built-in 20-watt audio, MHL support, and an ultra-narrow bezel with a sleek, modern stand.
Sharp is now shipping the six models in the LE653/LE654 Series. The 32-inch LC-32LE653U is priced at $349.99, the 40-inch LC-40LE653U is $439.99, the 43-inch LC-43LE653U is $479.99, the 48-inch LC-48LE653U is $599.99, and the 55-inch LC-55LE653U is $749.99. The largest model of the lot is the 65-inch LC-65LE654U, which is also available now, with an MSRP of $1,199.99.
