Touch and Swipe Control

Elan Home Systems Launches a iPhone-esque home controller.

Anyone with an iDevice has become familiar with touch-swipe-gestures. It feels as natural as putting a car into drive after turning the key. Now, you can find that same touch-and-swipe function on the screens of home control touchpanels. Elan Home Systems, for one, has implemented it into its new 10-inch in-wall color TS10 Touchscreen for its g! Control System. The TS10 will give homeowners an intuitive dashboard for monitoring and managing lights, thermostats, A/V equipment and more.

Additionally, the TS10 can function as a 16:9 widescreen LCD television and as monitor for surveillance cameras. It comes equipped with composite video inputs for TV applications and a built-in speaker and microphone to serve as an intercom station. And if you have a favorite photo, it can become the screen-saver. The TS10 ships standard with a white frame, but frames in almond, light almond, ivory and black are also available.
In addition to the TS10 Touchscreen, the Elan family of interfaces includes the HR2 handheld remote control, the TS7, TS2 and 4-inch Touchscreens, and the g! mobile applications for the iPod, iPod Touch and iPad. Control menus can also be viewed and navigated via the screen of a TV or computer.
