Back in 2014, we were talking up: Fibaro’s stylish home control systems—more specifically, the company’s motion sensor.
The Fibaro Motion Sensor (pictured) was the first of the company’s products to catch: my eye. That’s because it sort of looks like a weird eyeball, but is compact and even portable. The one downer about the product lineup was that it wasn’t available in the U.S. Well, not only is Fibaro available in the States: now, but it’s actually working with one of our favorite home control systems.
Fibaro recently added HomeSeer support for three of its sensors. The new lineup will join eight other Fibaro devices that already integrate with HomeSeer home control systems.
The new lineup of compatible options includes the Fibaro Motion Sensor, which has a built-in motion sensor, temperature sensor, light sensor, and accelerometer.
The Fibaro FGFS101 Z-Wave Flood Sensor uses Z-Wave to send commands whenever water leaks are detected. It even works with HomeSeer home control systems to sound alarms, send notifications or activate other Z-Wave devices, such as water valves. Other perks include a tamper feature and a built-in temperature sensor.
And finally, the Fibaro Door/Window Sensor is small, but very easy to add to any door or window. It even has seven color options to blend into your home’s decor. Each one of these sensors features inputs for any binary sensor. It can also be used with HomeSeer to monitor the opening and closing of doors, windows and gates.
According to Fibaro, all three sensors: should work with all of HomeSeer’s products, from the affordable HomeTroller Zee S2 to the premium HomeTroller S6.
“Working with quality brands like HomeSeer, a company with thousands of systems installed worldwide, helps Fibaro to greatly increase awareness of the unique capabilities and design of our Motion Sensor,” said Rich Bira, managing director for Fibaro USA. “Our partnership with HomeSeer gives customers a wider range of home automation options, helping them to create the smart home environment that best meets their unique needs.”
The Fibaro Motion Sensor, the Fibaro FGFS101 Z-Wave Flood Sensor and the Fibaro Door/Window Sensor are all available now, priced at $59.99, $59.99 and $49.95, respectively.

I understand that these also work worth other popular Zwave controllers like Vera. Although the eyeball may be to creepy for some.

Eye of Sauron if they would make a red one. I guess that could be somewhat intimidating if the eye would follow the motion around. Would even be neat if the eye could be programmed to run a macro if the “motion” moved to a certain location, like turning on the lights, or music, or even an alarm…
