For years, keypads have boasted rows of tactile buttons. They work nicely for most people, and while they definitely look better on the wall than a bank of toggle switches, they add little to the aesthetic of a home. With its new TouchLinx TLA250 touchpad, Netstreams offers a control device that’s as beautiful to look at as it is easy to use. “A lot of companies tend to just focus on technology,” says Kevin Reinis, Netsteams president and CEO. “We decided it was time that bring design to the forefront.”

The new touchpad features a glass finish faceplate that can be tailored to complement any decor. The layer under the glass can be matched to any surface, design or accent, thanks to a variety of standard and color design options–Netsteams offers 1,114 Pantone colors. You can go wild with a funky pattern that goes with the eclectic family room or choose a more subdued color to blend in with the natural colors of a bathroom or bedroom.

Once installed, the touchpad sits just 1/2-inch from the wall for a sleek, modern appearance. The touchpad display is based on OLED technology, so the virtual buttons are bright and easy to read. The touchpad can be used to control whole-house entertainment and control systems, and includes many of the control features of Netstreams’ other touchscreens, such as a built-in intercom for whole-house paging, room to room paging and room monitoring. A 50-watt per channel amplifier is built-in, so speakers can be connected directly to the it.
