Crestron is upgrading one of its popular control options. The company just started shipping the TST-600 Wireless Touchscreen, which is designed to replace the TPS-6X.
The new model has the latest Crestron touchscreen technology packed into a 5.7-inch capacitive touchscreen. It has extended-range dual-mode RF/WiFi wireless capability, Smart Graphics, Rava SIP Intercom, a built-in microphone and speakers, and support for H.264 streaming video.
Designed to work with AV, lighting, climate, shades, and other Electronic House features from up to 200 feet away, the TST-600 is compatible with older TPS docking stations, wireless gateways and other accessories. It can tap into all of that via that dual-mode wireless, which is a combination of WiFi and Crestron Extended Range 2.4 GHz RF (ER). It can also be docked with a wired Ethernet connection.
“The TST-600 picks up where the best-selling TPS-6X leaves off, and offers all of our cool new touchscreen technology in the same lightweight size,” said Fred Bargetzi, Crestron’s VP of technology. “The ability to have Crestron touchscreen control, plus streaming video and intercom, at your fingertips while you walk from room to room is a convenience only TST-600 can offer.”
Available in smooth black or white or textured black finishes, Crestron is also offering the option for backlit push buttons on the TST-600. It’s shipping now.
