With Terminator Genisys in theaters now, our thoughts are turning to robots and all sorts of other cool gadgets. Of course, we’re more into the robots and gadgets that can do something for the greater good.
In fact, for years now, we’ve been talking about the day of the robot revolution. Well my friends, that day is today—and it’s pretty perfect timing, too. That’s because instead of spending all: summer doing chores, you can lay out by the pool and have a whole robot army do a lot of that dirty work for you.

iRobot Scooba 450
Mud, blades of grass, sand, BBQ fixin’s; during the summer, there are a lot of messes. Instead of spending hours trying to keep up, you could have this little buddy take over. The floor-washing robot uses a three-cycle cleaning process to tackle almost any type of dirt and debris. It even uses wetness. That means it won’t just be pushing dirt around and you’ll never have to take out a mop or a bucket. Choose between the 40-minute cycle for cleaning up to 300 square feet or the 20-minute option for tackling half of that space. Other perks include a brush that spins at over 600rpm to get up the grime, iRobot’s iAdapt Responsive Navigation Technology, and button and verbal cues in case you need extra help.

iRobot Looj
This is another one of iRobot’s little cool gadgets. It not only helps to clean, but it can actually keep you off a ladder—which means it can also keep you from falling off a ladder. It can tackle all of your gutter funk using a high-velocity, four-stage auger that can spin at 500mph to blast out leaves, dirt and other cloggers. Other enhancements include a “Clean” mode, multiple speeds, a scraper, a new design, and a 7.2-volt Lithium-ion battery. Also, iRobot says that the Looj is waterproof up to 8 inches with a range of up to 50 feet.

Sick of watching that garden burn up under the summer sun? Put a little trust into this handy robot, which uses real-time data from over 10,000 weather stations, millions of square miles of U.S. soil samples, and comprehensive biological plant information to decide when, where and how much water to deliver to your lawn. It even knows the proper angle in which to deliver it. The idea is that this type of system can actually conserve water. It can even produce reports on water consumption. Just hook the sprinkler up to a garden hose, power it, and connect the system to your existing WiFi network. You’ll also need to input the types of plants in your yard and where they are located. If you’re even too lazy for that, you can opt to water the entire lawn. It has a range of 30 feet in any direction and can cover: 2,700 square feet with: normal watering, 50 feet or 9,000 square feet for high-pressure watering, and several hundred feet for agriculture watering.

Robomow RS612
Forget spending the summer going up and down the lawn—or hiring someone to do that for you. The Robomow RS612 can handle lawns up to 13,000 square feet, which includes slopes and different contours. If you don’t trust Robomow to mow on his own, it does have Bluetooth so you: can control the device from any smartphone or tablet. And just because you don’t want to mow in summer’s wettest months doesn’t mean that Robomow can’t; it’s waterproof, but also has sensors that can determine if the yard is too wet to continue on.

Ecovacs Robotics Winbot
Don’t want to spend another summer trying to peer out of those dirty windows? This handy robot can clean almost any glass surface. Just power the Winbot on and it uses patented Pathfinder Technology to calculate the size of the windows and the best course of cleaning action. An on-board computer and multiple sensors help the Winbot to avoid edges, while the three-stage cleaning system does its magic. Oh, and this thing clings to windows better than Spider-Man; it has an internal vacuum pump and powerful suction motor that can hold up to 26 pounds. There’s nothing quite like grilling—or like cleaning up from grilling. If you thought a: floor-cleaning robot tackled tough jobs, check out the Grillbot. This little guy is tough but small, and extremely willing to take a funky ride on that BBQ grill and actually clean it! Just push one button and watch Grillbot go.
