We’ve talked a lot about customizing your audio experience. Stealth Acoustics is taking a slightly different approach that doesn’t require all of the tweaking. The company just announced the Image II, a two-way customizable on-wall loudspeaker.
While a lot of manufacturers make their speakers look like works of art, Stealth wraps its speaker in whatever the listener considers to be artistic.
“The Image II speaker is such a great platform for artistic customization because we do not limit what image or paint that can be used over the product,” says Steve Olszewski, Stealth’s vice president. “Your art, or ours. Paint or custom wallpaper — even wood veneer — real or graphics-based, all of these and more are finish options.”
To create your custom piece, Stealth laminates a durable UV-protected image right over the speaker’s sturdy flat front and sides in a studio wrap style. This process boasts a 3-dimensional type image. The company also offers Satin White Image II to match any decor, as well as The Trilogy option, which creates a panoramic three-panel spread.
The Image II speaker is also just as pretty on the inside, featuring the company’s LeverAcoustic bass extension technology, a 170-degree dispersion, a 40Hz to 20kHz frequency response, and a sensitivity rating of 80dB.
