Paradigm Upgrades Cinema Speaker Line

The familiar speaker family has been re-engineered and redesigned from head to toe.

Just yesterday, we were singing Paradigm’s praises. Now, they have a little something new: an entire speaker lineup.

The Cinema series may sound familiar. That’s because this is an older line that just got an upgrade — a very sexy upgrade! Using technologies from the company’s Reference lines, the Cinema series boasts big sound for every application, as well as every budget.

The new models include the Cinema 100 satellite, the Cinema 200 on-wall, the Cinema 400 on-wall, the Cinema Trio 3-in-1 LCR (pictured right), and the new Cinema Sub. If you can’t make a decision, Paradigm has also packaged up a little selection for the Cinema 100 CT 5.1 system (pictured below).

Besides the Reference-quality crossovers, Paradigm says that all models include S-PAL satin-anodized pure-aluminum dome tweeters and wire-mesh tweeter guards with WaveGuide technology. Also, mineral-filled polypropylene bass/midrange cones with added mineral content stiffen up the cone composition. Overall, the company promises a lower frequency extension, flat response curves, further reduced distortion, sustained sensitivity and improved full dispersion across the entire line.

The Cinema 100 features a 4-inch bass/mid driver and 1-inch tweeter. This model is sold as a pair for $299, or you can score three for $449. The rest of the models are priced per speaker. The Cinema 200 adds in an extra one of those drivers for $249. The Cinema 400 has the one 4-inch bass/mid driver, one 4-inch bass driver and one 1-inch tweeter. That is priced at $399. The Cinema Trio has four 4-inch bass/mid drivers and three 1-inch tweeters for $549. The 8-inch 300-watt Cinema Sub is priced at $349.

That Cinema 100 CT packages up five of the Cinema 100 speakers and one Cinema Sub for $999.

All Cinema models include the EasyMount wall-mounting system and StayTight magnetic grilles. The Cinema 100 satellite comes with its own tabletop stand and wall-mount bracket, or you can opt for the MC-30 floor stand, which is sold separately.
