According to NuForce, the DDA-100 doesn’t use the typical DAC stage. Instead, its PWM power amplifier is modulated at the incoming signal. That puts the digital-to-analog conversion at the speaker outputs. In other words, the PWM power amplifier stage operates as a power DAC. The end result boasts no DAC-related problems and fewer parts; just great sound.

The DDA-100 boasts a 75-watt RMS and 250-watt peak capability per channel. It can accept four digital sources via one USB, one coaxial and two optical inputs. It also comes packing its own remote control.

“DDA-100′s minimalist design is so exquisite that it begs to be displayed as a piece of art,” said Jason Lim, CEO of NuForce.

NuForce is selling the DDA-100 now, with an MSRP of $549. You can find it at the NuForce Online Store, the Nuforce Amazon Online Store and NuForce resellers.
