That’s Hedley!
If you haven’t seen a good (or bad) Mel Brooks movie in a while, we have a deal that can add most of the director’s works to your Blu-ray collection in one fell swoop.
Best Buy is currently selling The Mel Brooks Collection on Blu-ray for just $39.99. This is $60 off the list price, and includes free shipping.
It also includes nine of Mel Brooks’ best on nine Blu-ray discs. (The product page says eight, but unless they have their own set, that’s wrong.) The set includes The Twelve Chairs (1970), Blazing Saddles (1974), Young Frankenstein (1974), Silent Movie (1976), High Anxiety (1977), History of the World – Part I (1981), To Be or Not to Be (1983), Spaceballs (1987), and Robin Hood: Men in Tights.
While all of the films may not be favorites, at least we can be thankful that Fox had the good sense to leave out Dracula: Dead and Loving It.
With the exception of The Twelve Chairs, each disc also has a decent amount of special features, including commentaries, deleted scenes, trailers, four trivia tracks and five isolated score tracks. There are also seven featurettes with six Blu-ray exclusive featurettes. Finally, the whole thing comes packaged with a 119-page hardcover book.
If you’re a fan of any of these movies, this set is a no-brainer. It’s also the absolute cheapest we’ve seen this collection. Snag one before Best Buy pulls the deal or runs out of stock!
