Antennas Direct ClearStream Eclipse for Free TV

A few weeks back, we featured “4 Awesome Indoor Antennas That Can Score You Free TV.” Of course, those aren’t the only antenna options out there. They aren’t even the only indoor antenna options.

One of the most recent releases comes from Antennas Direct. It’s the ClearStream Eclipse, an indoor antenna that can provide all sorts of free TV channels, all without the need for mounting, nails or other complicated hardware. It also doesn’t require a trip out to your roof. Instead, the antenna has something called Sure Grip technology, which allows it to latch onto any smooth surface inside your house.

So you can stick it to a wall, a window, the side of a dresser, or wherever else seems pretty smooth. And if you don’t like where it’s sticking or want to move that TV into a different room, the ClearStream Eclipse can easily grip and re-grip.

While an over-the-air (OTA) antenna is great for getting free TV, it doesn’t mean that you have to give up your precious Mad Men, Game of Thrones, or whatever else you’re willing to pay for. It can be a really nice complement to any streaming service, allowing you to get local programming, including news and sports. It’s even a nice addition to a pay-TV setup, adding in new channels or the ability to get TV during those times when your service goes out.

Two Eclipse models are currently available, both of which can receive UHF and high-frequency signals. There’s a standard (passive) model, which can deliver reception up to 25 miles from a broadcast tower, while the amplified version adds about 10 miles to that reach. Not sure where the broadcast towers are in your area? Check or TV Fool to find the free TV options in your area before you buy anything!

“More and more families are cutting the cord each year,” says Richard Schneider, president and founder of Antennas Direct. “We have created a product you can just slap to your window and you have television. It doesn’t get any easier than the Eclipse.”

Antennas Direct is selling the ClearStream Eclipse now. The standard model has an MSRP of $59.99, with the amplified version priced at $89.99.
