Hot Deal: Zmodo 4-Camera Surveillance System: $99.99

Woot puts a price on Zmodo's security setup, and it's a good one!

It’s hard to put a price on security — for some. Woot has no problem putting a price on security, and we’re guessing that it’s something you’ll be able to live with.

For today only, Woot has the Zmodo 4-camera surveillance kit listed for just $99.99. This is about $50 off the list price of this setup, although you’re going to have to kick in another $5 to have it shipped.

That purchase price will get you the PKD-DK40107 4-channel DVR, four weatherproof infrared cameras and all of the cables and mounting hardware needed to set up a full system. Boating up to 30 feet of night vision and motion detection, these cameras are perfect for placing inside and outside. Of course, you can also spread them around to get maximum security and peace of mind.

The one thing that the package does not have is a hard drive. You’re going to need that if you want to archive any images. The DVR does support a 3.5-inch SATA drive up to 2TB. You’ll need to spring for that, but Woot is throwing in the mounting screws so you can easily add it into the setup.

Without the hard drive, you can still use the cameras for surveillance. That’s a nice option until you upgrade. Don’t wait to get the hard drive first, though. This Woot deal is only good for today (Tuesday, March 23, 2012) or whenever the website runs out of stock.
