We’ve seen smart bulbs—even color-changing smart bulbs. However, the Misfit Bolt is a color-changing smart bulb that can also sync up with sleep monitoring devices.
See, Misfit makes the Shine, Flash and Beddit fitness and sleep monitors, so it would make sense that they would want all of the products to work together. When combined, the Bolt can gently wake you up by creating a lighting scheme that mimics a sunrise, so you won’t be shocked into consciousness.
Misfit says that the way Bolt LED bulb is constructed makes it pretty special as well. It’s a glass dome with a proprietary light-diffusion coating, which allows it to deliver 260-degree light dispersion with no hot spots. Also worth mentioning is that it doesn’t need any type of hub. It connects to a smart phone or tablet via Bluetooth and can be controlled via the Misfit iOS and/or Android app, as well as the Misfit Flash and Logitech’s Harmony Home remote and app. A new Misfit Home app is also coming soon.
As far as the lighting aspect, Bolt users can choose from millions of color combinations or tap into pre-made scenes. You can even create custom scenes using your own pictures and camera.
“For us, a smart light bulb is not just a vessel for electronic components,” said Diana Chang, lead designer for Bolt. “It was about enabling our connection to light from darkness. Bolt gives a new twist to an ordinary light source and turns it into a memorable experience.”
The Misfit Bolt is now available for pre-order, priced at $49.99 each or $129.99 for the three-pack.

I am looking for a way to turn off different bulbs on the same switch or circut.
