NH-based manufacturer Russound has announced its latest high resolution: audio products.
During a brief conference call with the media, Russound said that: dealers should soon be on the lookout for its upcoming controller and touchscreen products. Russound is launching new streaming audio products that support high resolution audio up to 24-bit/192kHz. It developed these products as easy add-on solutions to help dealers address any number of installation scenarios, including the addition of streaming media to existing systems.
“Our objective is always to optimize the whole-house audio value chain,” says Charlie Porritt, CEO of Russound. “The XStream series of streaming products does this in several ways. It’s easy for professionals to install and configure, and has rock-solid safeguards to preserve margins. For their customers, it’s the best whole-house streaming audio you can ask for.”
The: new high resolution audio: products are part of Russound’s XStream series and prices will be set in time for the 2015 CEDIA Expo this October.
The first of the two products is the XSource Streaming Audio Player. This small footprint product is designed to provide dealers with a scalable solution that can be used as a stand-alone device or as part of any whole-house audio system.
The XZone Four-Stream, Four-Zone Audio system is a 1U single-box component that features browser-based configuration tools. It also has expansion capabilities to link as many as four units to deliver 16 streams of audio.
Both products, like other XStream products, offer control apps for the iOS and Android platforms and a choice of streaming services that includes Spotify and Pandora.
In addition, the company also provided information for other audio products it will show at CEDIA and ship late in 2015. Russound is set to preview its A250 and A2100 rack-mountable amplifiers this October in Dallas as part of its CEDIA show activities. Commenting on these products, Porritt said: these amps will serve dealers as the basis of their whole-house audio system installations.
“Versatile stereo custom integration amplifiers are the foundation of whole-house audio,” he explained. “With the A-Series, we’ve made the job of our installation partners a little easier, from rack-mount design to the ability to run multiple amps together or to boost individual zones. The A250 and A2100 are ideal distributed audio building blocks.”
