NYNE Aqua wireless outdoor speakers

We’re thinking warm thoughts—ones that have the smell of barbecue and pool cleaner wafting through the air. If you’re ready to start planning your pool time, there are plenty of wireless outdoor speakers that can help you get the party started.

The NYNE Aqua is one of those wireless outdoor speakers, but this one also floats. That means that you won’t have to worry about all of your fun putting some pricey speaker system at the bottom of the pool. Instead, this Bluetooth speaker lives for taking a dip, since it’s waterproof and floatable. In fact, it’s IPX7-rated, which means that it can be submerged in up to three feet of water for up to 30 minutes, all without causing any damage.

Why would you want to do that? It doesn’t matter. Just know that when everyone and everything ends up in the pool, this speaker will be just fine.

And that’s bound to happen. Because unlike other wireless outdoor speakers, the Aqua has a unique shape, which makes it seem sort of perfect for flinging into the pool. However, it also works well at the beach, on the slopes, and even in the shower.

Because it has Bluetooth support, you can pair the Aqua with your favorite smartphone, tablet or PC. And you won’t have to worry about those getting wet, since it has a range of up to 33 feet.

Other features include an EQ button with four equalizer settings, a built-in waterproof microphone for making and taking calls, and a 3.5mm auxiliary input in case you want to pair it with a non-Bluetooth device. Measuring just 9.6-by-5.3-by-2 inches, the Aqua is also made for travel and even has its own silicon carrying strap.

The NYNE Aqua is ready for fun in the sun, even though you may not be just yet. Available in grey/blue and white/blue, it’s shipping now, with an MSRP of $129.95.
