Believe it or not, not every spot is the perfect spot for a speaker. Harman’s Revel brand is making it easier to put speakers in spots where space is limited, with the introduction of two new in-ceiling speakers. The C283LP and C263LP will start shipping this month.
As part of the company’s 2-Series, these two shallow-mount in-ceiling speakers can fit into a mounting space that’s only 2.8 inches deep.
The C283LP shallow-mount has an 8-inch woofer and a 1-inch tweeter, while the C263LP has a 6.5-inch woofer and a 1-inch tweeter. Both models boast an easy installation process, thanks to standard dog leg-type mounting hardware. Both models also come packing magnetic round paintable grilles, with square options sold separately.
“We’ve introduced our Revel C283LP and C263LP shallow-mount speakers in response to installer and customer demand for a Revel in-ceiling speaker that would fit in areas where other in-ceiling speakers can’t, yet where top-quality sound is desired,” said Jim Garrett, director of marketing and product management for Harman’s Luxury Audio Group and Loudspeakers. “Both models are competitively priced and deliver the exceptional performance listeners expect from Revel.”
Revel will start shipping the C263LP and C283LP this month, priced at $225 and $275, respectively.
