Sometimes you just need to sneak in a little music. For those times when a big, booming sound system isn’t necessary (yes, there are those times!), Grace Digital Audio has a little something for your bookshelf, desk, or other smaller space. The newly announced Wi-Fi Bookshelf Music System features two bookshelf speakers, a Class D digital amplifier, and access to thousands of web radio stations from around the globe.
Aside from a boatload of audio options, the hook on this system is that it has 802.11n connectivity. That little feature allows listeners to tune into over 17,000 radio stations, 20,000 plus on-demand programs, and over 35,000 podcasts, as well as services such as Sirius/XM radio, Pandora, NPR, and much more. Once you find a few (or many) stations that you like, you can store up to 100 selections into 10 station presets.
If you want something slightly more familiar, this system can also stream stored music from any PC or Mac.
To crank out that audio, Grace has included two bookshelf speakers, with 3.5-inch drivers, 1-inch tweeters, and a 16-watt RMS Class D digital amplifier. RCA inputs and USB connection also allow users to hook in an iPod, CD player, or other compatible audio source.
Grace Digital Audio is currently selling the Wi-Fi Bookshelf Music System through Amazon as well as the company’s website for $249.99.
