More music options is never a bad thing, right? Fusion Research has announced the addition of Spotify streaming music service to its line of Ovation Music Streamers, which are built around Squeezebox technology.
Spotify joins other music services in the Ovation line, including Pandora, SiriusXM, MOG, Tunein and Slacker.
“We’ve been working hard on integrating Spotify into our Ovation streamers. It’s the first of many enhancements you’ll be seeing to the Ovation line this year,” says Fusion VP of sales Ingo Schmoldt. “Spotify is an extremely import app for our customers and further underscores our tremendous value/feature ratio.”
A paid Spotify service is required to work on an Ovation streamer. Fusion has been shipping Ovation units with Spotify already on them for the past 30 days. It will include two-way Spotify control from iOS and Android apps as well as applications for Elan, Control4, RTI, Savant, Crestron and other home automation companies.
Ovation streamers start at $995 for the OMS1, which supports three analog zones, and tops out at $1,795 for the OMS3, which supports up to five zones (four analog, one digital).
