Autonomic Controls just started shipping its new Mirage Audio System. The new distributed audio solution offers up a lot of possibilities, with a variety of new options to accommodate the size of your system and your budget.
At the heart of the system are the Mirage Media Servers, which come with a choice of two digital amplifiers, two in-wall control options and applications for iOS and Android devices. Everything can be customized for your home’s needs.
The amps being offered are the 8-channel M400 and 16-channel M800. When paired with one of the Mirage Media Servers, the system creates the ultimate cloud-based distributed audio system. Each amp boasts out-of-the-box media browsing and full control of volume, source selection and independent zone power in all zones. The M400 is a four-zone, six-source amp, with the M800 bumping those options up to eight zones and eight sources. Both models can also crank 50 watts per channel and offer traditional analog inputs, high-res internal D/A converters, IP control, and both coax or Toslink digital inputs.
Autonomic also has redesigned the Mirage interface, making options easier to access and adding in the TuneBridge feature. The latter allows users to mark new music across multiple streaming services and local content for playback later on Rhapsody or Pandora. As part of the package, Autonomic is also introducing two in-wall interface options, including the basic MKP-1 keypad and the MKP-iOS iPod touch control mount.
Designed as a whole-house audio system, the Mirage can support high-def music files, iTunes and WMP playlists, AM/FM, and streaming services, such as Pandora, Rhapsody, Spotify, SiriusXM, Last.fm and TuneIn.
“The Mirage Audio System was engineered to create an array of options for our dealer installers, particularly as they address customers who are seeking audio-only installations,” says Autonomic CEO Michael de Nigris. “Mirage Media Servers have become well known for their cloud compatibility and integration with major control platforms; however these new system solutions are ideal for distributed audio packages in a wide range of budget and magnitude. Integrators will appreciate the efficiency and reliability of products that were designed and engineered to work together.”
Autonomic is selling the Mirage Audio System now. The M400 is $2,595, with the M800 coming in at $3,695. The company has also priced the MKP-1 keypad at $200, with the MKP-iOS keypad mount available for $250.
