Velodyne is best known for its powered subwoofers, but the company recently put a little boom into the portable market as well. The latest Velodyne product is the vFree Bluetooth headphones.
The hook on vFree Bluetooth headphones is that this model has Bluetooth v2.1 connectivity with a range of about 30 feet. That means that you don’t need to be tethered to any device, let alone a home theater system.
It has a slim, foldable design, so it’s easy to travel. It also has a passive bypass cable for extended listening.
Available in white, black and aluminum finishes, vFree Bluetooth headphones can also be customized via an array of skins that can slap stylish designs on the outer ear cups.
Velodyne is selling vFree Bluetooth headphones now, with an MSRP of $299. The company will also have the product on hand at next week’s 2013 International CES in Las Vegas, Nevada.
