Sennheiser is pretty well known for its fancy line of headphones. Now, the company is gaining a little Momentum — or at least a new model named Momentum On-Ear. Sennheiser’s latest headphone option will be shipping sometime this summer.
Sennheiser describers the Momentum as a “smaller, on-ear version” of what’s currently being offered in the company’s lineup.
It’s geared towards users that want all of that technology packed into a minimalist design. It has 18-ohm transducers for a frequency range from 16 to 22,000 Hz and noise-isolation features. Other highlights include an Alcantara finish on the ear pads and headband, a stainless steel headband, and a single-sided detachable cable with an inline remote and mic for use with iOS devices.
“The new Momentum On-Ear embodies an urban style that’s focused on high performance and the finest materials — on style and substance,” said Katrin Huss, Sennheiser’s director of customer relationship management. “They are the perfect choice for those who demand top quality and want to express this through their own personal style.”
That personal style also includes color, so Sennheiser is offering the Momentum On-Ear in four different shades. Choose between blue, green, pink and ivory, all of which will start selling this summer. Pricing has yet to be announced in the U.S., but the company did say that UK audiences should expect to pay £169.99 (about $256.43 U.S.).
