Polk Debuts Nue Era In-Ear Headphones

The compact set is slick, stylish, and selling now.

A lot of high-end manufacturers have started cranking out headphones. After all, we can’t always be tethered to a giant music system. That said, it’s hard to sacrifice quality — even when on the go.

For that purpose, Polk has just released Nue Era, its latest model of headphones.

The company is calling this latest product an “audio accessory designed for fashionistas and audio files alike.” So in other words, it’s kind of stylish.

It’s also really compact. Inside this slick, in-ear option, there’s Polk quality via a Dynamic Balance driver. The Nue Era also has small-sculpted housing, which is finished in sleek tortoise and champagne gold, or you can opt for black and silver.

Other features include eartips in a variety of shapes and sizes, a three-button cable for toggling between music and phone calls, and a gold-plated 90-degree connector.

“Headphones are an extension of our personality and a reflection of our fashion, however there haven’t been options that capture the timeless, easy-to-wear, vintage American style,” said Michael DiTullo, Polk’s chief design officer. “In designing the Nue Era, we wanted to create an accessory that felt more like a classic pair of sunglasses, as easy as your favorite pair of jeans, and as well-crafted as a vintage timepiece. This inspiration has resulted in a headphone that is meant to be shown off, even when you want to keep your music all to yourself.”

Polk is selling Nue Era now, with an MSRP of $99.
