It’s summer, which probably means you’re spending more time outside — hello, anyone? Yes, it’s hot, which means sweat and maybe a little dirt. Klipsch says that’s ok, though; the company’s new Image S4i Rugged headphones can handle the elements just fine.
This new in-ear headphone model is the latest in Klipsch’s popular Image S4 line. However, these are made for the outdoor enthusiast.
Each Image S4i Rugged model features all-weather, moisture-resistant rubber moldings and an extra-large three-button remote for quick access to calls and music on the Apple iPhone. The back of the remote also has a directional mic for hands-free, crystal clear phone calls. Of course, the set also works with other products — anything with a 3.5mm jack, in fact.
On the inside, the Image S4i Rugged packs in the same 8.5mm dual magnet micro-speaker as other models in the Image S4 line.
“Whether rock climbing or dirt biking, there’s no question one’s music library enhances the experience,” said Chris Aiello, Klipsch product manager for headphones. “With the Image S4i Rugged, we intend to offer the most extreme outdoor enthusiasts the acclaimed audio they too deserve, while also allowing them elements of personal style and, most important, durability.”
Available in a yellow, orange, blue or red finish, the Image S4i Rugged will start selling this month for $99.99. It comes with four different-sized oval ear tips, a nylon zipper case, a clothing clip and a two-year warranty.
