The premise that green electronics cost more is inaccurate and perpetuates the myth. On top of that when you add energy efficiency, longer product life and trade-in value, they actually cost less. http://www.greenelectronics.com is a good site for finding all the latest green electronics and green computers.

This is the most idiotic article on system building I’ve ever read. What’s especially charming is the way in which the author brags about saving $50 by overclocking and then proceeds to throw away far more than that on what could only be called sheer stupidity (note that his aftermarket cooler alone eats up the savings and voids the CPU…

ixion has it right - what a pile of poo. low-level balanced cables have a direction because of shielding and grounding.  Speaker cable - sufficient gage for the length of run.  12-2 romex would provide as good of signal as the $1,000 cable this guy is trying to sell you. I have a Comacast digital cable box and measured same amount of power consumption (~35watts) whether it’s on or off!!  I used the Kill-A-Watt device to measure.  I couldnt’ believe it!

What a lack luster, teaser of an article! Why not just get to the real meat of the “Worlds most expensive speakers” by doing a listing like you’ll find at the following link and dispensing with useless verbiage that is becoming ever so prevalent with Electronic House! http://www.higherfi.com/spkrlist/speakerlist.htm
