“hundreds” of hd OTA (over the air) channels? i think not., at least not in one location. if you are lucky enough to live within a tower or two, you’ll pick up some. i live in a large metro area (boston) and get 4-5 with a medium sized directional antenna. i could mount a larger omni-directional antenna (over the wife’s…

Over-the-Air stations already have hundreds and hundreds of HDTV channels. All you need is an antenna. No other money is involved.

I already have FIOS Internet and would LOVE to have FIOS TV, but apparently because I live a mile over the Mass border in New Hampshire, my FIOS TV prospects are pretty clouded by the FairPoint deal.  I need to decide whether toi nstall Direct TV, or Comcast, or FairPoint or some alternative. Thank you, Kevin McCarthy

The bottom line is: You want to use a lossless format. However, if a dock has good pre-amplification, it’s going to sound better than one that just plays your iPod. People argue that they do nothing… however, it is a new category that we wanted to cover. If you (or anyone else) has any experience with any—or all!—of these, I’d…

What type of screen was the Vutec screen? Vutec mfg’s 12 different screen materials for all appplications.  It is probably the SilverStar since the brightness is so dominant.  It is obvious that it is an original photo of the image.  Not a superimposed picture.

While true that the front of the line was filled with Early Adopters (Video/Audio Geeks), I found that the line also had people I might consider less technically savy.  No doubt all of these people’s friends will see the High Def output during the season’s, and I have found that people gawk at the picture that my HD setup can…

In reference to “Cyrl” comment on “fairness is a 2 way street”. I guess that’s why a community cannot get a contract with Comcast unless they agree to pay the company damages if another service moves into the area and it hurts their business. Is that what you call fair “Cyrl”? I guess it’s fair to you since you work…

Yes I found it confusing as well, The iPod and associated music file is still the source… It’s pretty much a given that music out of speakers will sound different to headphones. Following on, it’s most likely that a more expensive dock will sound better than a cheap dock. I’m not sure how DSP’s or valve amps make music sound…
