There is an obvious transition state going on between tv manufacturer’s, online movie providers, and pc manufacturers and software support. (ie. microsoft playforsure)
What comes out in ithe wash from all this is anybody’s guess, just make sure your hardware can support the latest thats out there.

How about the long ago promised DirecTV interface for Media Center PCs? I would gladly pay several $100 for that, I have no interest in another closed set top box.

Hi Barney, I’ll be blogging more about LED lights next week. I just met someone at the CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association) show, and he’s marketing LED lighting for Color Kinetics, which was just bought by light bulb giant Philips. Expect a big push in LED replacement bulbs for the home. In the meantime, check out http://theledlight.com/led-light-bulbs.html. There…

Color me unimpressed. Now if this were HD radio reception on the iPod, that would be kinda cool. Better still would be an HD radio receiver that would record songs you like off the radio so you could play them back at your leisure on your iPod. I could get into that. None of this makes me want to race…

This is far from having Apple actually including it as a…

i’ve been keeping an eye out for the LED lights. they last longer and use very little energy compared to standard bulbs. however, i have to say the price is still a little daunting, especially in applications where the bulb is not used much - like the outdoor flood mentioned in the previous comment (thinkgeek.com). i would really like a…

CBS falls under the Viacom umbrella which also owns Paramount Pictures & Dreamworks...but not Sony. (I believe)

You should try one of these LED light bulbs. 18 led reading light, 36 led room light, or 60 led spot light. An 18 led reading light could cost less than a dollar a year to run.
