Gerry, There isn’t a Sony in the current line up (2010). There was a 2009 model (KDL37L5000, 720p) that is 36 1/2 x 24 3/4 x 10 1/4 in (W x H x D). I’m not familiar with the Panasonic LCD line, but you could also look at the Samung line of 37” 1080p model LN37C550 (2009 model LN37B550) 36.1”…

My tv has to fit in an entertainment center and I only have room for a 37” hdtv.  Will there be 37” 3d hdtvs that Sony or Panasonic or ? will make?  It seems they all are at least 40”.  Thanks.

The people that think that Avatar should have won anything except for graphic art awards, or CGI effects, don’t know what the Oscar’s are about. The only way they judge 3D is by ticket sales. If 65% of the people saw it in 3D, that says something. Oscar’s are not judged by the number of tickets sold, or money made.…

@koberlin1, couldn’t agree more!  It’s unfortunate how so many people are gullibly willing to put down more of their hard-earned cash for an LCD when an equivalent plasma set provides better features and costs much less. Personally I’m sticking to Panasonic and plasma technology, as long as they’re willing to fix their quality issues on pre-2010 sets.

Interesting, looks like HD 3D for the consumer is starting up. This sounds intriguing, even moreso since it’s exclusive to BB.  At the minimum, it would be worth demoing in-store.  However, why does the package deal include only one pair of 3D glasses?  What’s the point of a new whiz-bang HTS if it can’t be shared?  Better factor in extra…
