Polk's THX Ultra2 In-Ceiling Speakers Drive Home Theaters

When you see a product with THX branding, you know its performance is up to par with some of the toughest standards in the industry. Polk Audio's RTS100 is the first in-ceiling speaker that meets THX Ultra2 standards, delivering sound through a 14-inch diameter featuring dual 5-1/4-inch midrange drivers and a one-inch Ring Radiator tweeter.

The RTS line is designed for use in a home theater, and can be used in either 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 channel settings with additional speakers and a subwoofer. THX Ultra2 standards cover products, including speakers, receivers, pre-amps and power amplifiers, for large home theaters.

The RTS100 speaker has a perforated metal grille and a cloth grille for customization. MSRP for each speaker is $1200. -- Jason Unger
