Is it time to upgrade your Blu-ray player? If so, then check out these two units just released from Yamaha.

Yamaha announced two new Blu-ray players, the BD-S473 ($229) and BD-S673 ($329), both available now. Both players can be connected to the internet for streaming media from Netflix, Youtube and Hulu Plus (onlyt the the BD-S673), and they include USB ports for external media. Both units also can be operated via a traditional remote or Yamaha’s app for iOS and Android (including Kindle).

Both players do most of the Blu-ray basics, including 1080p upconverting (from DVD), playback of digital music (including FLAC) and picture files, DLNA sharing, direct bitstream and multi-channel Linear PCM output via HDMI.

The more expensive BD-S673 includes 3D,  built-in Wi-Fi, DivX Plus HD compatibility, analog 2-channnel down-mixed audio output and a 192kHz/24-bit audio DAC.

You might want to match one of those Blu-ray players with one of these Yamaha receivers.
