There are plenty of compact audio systems to put on your desktop. Now, Yamaha is making those options slightly more pretty, introducing the TSX-132 and TSX-B232 desktop systems and the MCR-042 and MCR-B142 micro component systems.
All four systems pack in Yamaha’s Compressed Music Enhancer, which boasts improved audio quality of compressed music files. Each one also has the IntelliAlarm feature to gently wake up users with favorite music, right from the nightstand (or desktiop, if that’s where you prefer to snooze).
Other features across both lines include large clock displays and slot-in style CD players, AM/FM tuners and iPod/iPhone docks. Users can also add in other devices via each system’s USB and AUX-in port.
The TSX-B232 and MCR-B142 models both have Bluetooth support, so you can stream music from any compatible device. There’s also a free app for iOS devices, which provides remote controls and access to IntelliAlarm functions.
“Our TSX and MCR systems combine the great natural sound reproduction for which Yamaha is known, with the latest lifestyle integration features today’s consumers expect,” said Tom Sumner, senior vice president of Yamaha Corporation of America. “These systems provide a quick and easy way to deliver music from just about any source to any room in the house with style—be it the living room, bedroom or kitchen.”
The TSX models come in black and white finishes, with the MCR line adding in red, pink, light brown, dark gray, yellow, purple, orange and green options. The TSX-132, TSX-B232, MCR-042 and MCR-B142 will all start shipping this month. Yamaha has priced the systems at $449.95, $549.95, $399.95 and $449.95, respectively.
