Stealth Acoustics’ AX3 in-wall loudspeaker
With a name like Stealth Acoustics, you can guess what the company’s signature design aspect is to its loudspeakers.
With the company’s “X” series, you might have to mark the spot to know where the buried speaker treasure is. Highlighted by the AX3, which replaces the discontinued A3, Stealth’s X line is the company’s “invisible” solution of architectural speakers. The full range includes the FX6, FX8 and STX8 models as well.
The AX3 has an MAP of $1,500 per pair and features improvement in natural sound and warmth, the company says, over previous versions thanks to a re-voicing of the system and reduction in air chamber of the acoustic level within the speaker.
These space savers are another in the continuously increasing market of “hear it but don’t see it” loudspeakers populating walls and ceilings these days. They’re sold through professional installers and value-added resellers, so check with your local dealer.
