Does the inconsistency of sound levels between your favorite programs and the commercials that interrupt your viewing habits frustrate you?
If this problem bothers you enough to sound off about it, then SRS Labs is providing an outlet for you to have your say in a public venue.
The audio company, which provides electronically based psycho-acoustic processing solutions to the electronics manufacturing community, recently introduced a creative writing contest that focuses on the topic of “Loud Commercials/Volume Spikes.”
The contest is asking frustrated consumers to write up to 500 words on why they are tired of loud commercials. The contest is underway, and three winners will be chosen on Dec. 15, 2009. They will be awarded a Vizio VSB210WS soundbar and a wireless subwoofer that features its TruVolume technology.
Eventually, SRS says the essays may provide the future creative consideration for its own commercials that address the topic in a mass audience environment.
