As I type this, I am salivating—and it has nothing to do with leftover Halloween candy. Time magazine has confirmed that the Xbox 360 will soon offer video downloads—including ones in high-def.

Other content will include TV programming, so it looks like you won’t have to watch “Survivor” on your iPod anymore. Right now, Microsoft has content deals with CBS, MTV, Paramount Pictures and Warner Brothers.

Just in time to stop you from buying the PS3, the new service will kick off on November 22, with about 1,000 hours of content to keep you glued to the TV.

  • Service launches November 22
  • High-def content will be available
  • Videos available for rent or purchase
  • Over 1,000 hours will be available
