Your geekdom could be your ticket into reality TV.

No, we’re not talking about ”Beauty and the Geek” (which is cancelled, by the way). Producers of ABC’s “Wife Swap” are looking for families with plenty of personality—as well as their share of high-tech goodies. The producers say they want to cast someone with a smart house.

Now, they weren’t specific on what they want or what they are going to do with it. We’re guessing they want to swap you with someone that doesn’t know how to turn on your home’s lights or TV. One thing they did know: If you’re featured, you’ll get $20,000. If you refer a family that’s used, you’ll get $1,000. Go to the show’s website for more info or directly.

“Wife Swap” is currently casting its fifth season. The show premieres October 3 at 8: 00 p.m. (EST) on ABC.

You may have a smart home, but you’re not very smart if you agree to be on this show! Wife Swap puts ads like this all over the Web in the hope that they can find another victim to chew up and spit out in the name of low-brow entertainment. This show is comparable to Jerry Springer.

Wife Swap is not kind to its participants (victims). I have seen several good people have their lives and reputations destroyed by this show! Don’t fall for ads like this.
