Western Digital’s WD division is cranking out another compact box. The latest in the line is the WD TV Play, a new media player with built-in WiFi and all sorts of streaming goodies.

Looking to position itself against the likes of Roku, the $69.99 box can deliver services such as YouTube, Netflix, Hulu Plus, VUDU, Spotify, Pandora and much more. It also appears to have SlingPlayer features for streaming that living room TV experience to your WD TV media player, whether it’s around the home or around the world.

According to WD, the box can also stream personal photos, music and movies from other networked devices, to any HDTV. Oh, and it does all of these wonderful things in full 1080p HD (when available).

Just hook the WD TV Play box to your TV and your home network, and follow the on-screen setup process. Users can also personalize the home screen with favorite apps. A new remote can navigate you through use with pre-programmed buttons or you can download the free WD TV Remote for iOS and Android devices.

The WD TV Play is available now, with an MSRP of $69.99.
