Apple has a slew of web apps designed specifically for the 3.5-inch screen of the iPhone or iPod touch.
Even though you’re mesmerized by that iPhone, you probably still want to know what weather the day will bring. After all, it’s hard to play with the iPhone with rain hitting you in the face, right?
The Weather Channel recognizes this and wants to capitalize on it. The network just launched a new application specific to the iPhone and iPod touch.
Features include current conditions, hourly and 10-day forecasts, interactive radar, and maps that allow you to track the heavy stuff. You can also set up severe weather alerts for up to five locations.
You’ll need a Safari browser to get it from the Weather Channel’s website. Otherwise, Apple has a new Web Application site where you can snag it.
