The homeowners of this $3.9 million home wanted nothing but the best, so they called in Sierra Entertainment Systems for a little upgrade.
Sierra built a fully acoustically treated theater, featuring custom fabric and leather seating for eight on custom-built 3-tier seating risers.
The custom proscenium houses a 110-inch motorized screen with a hidden 71-inch DLP TV behind it. The 7.1-sound system is powered by a Boston Acoustics amp/preamp with Klipsch Ultra 2 THX Cinema Speakers located behind the proscenium and below the screen. The electronic equipment rack is located behind the main curtain and out of view as a Universal Remote Control system was used to fully operate all of the equipment.
Not just about the beauty on the big screen, this theater has a custom fiber-optic star ceiling installed from wall to wall on the ceiling.
The end result wasn’t just something for the homeowners to enjoy. This home was one of four on the 2006 “Street of Dreams” home tour at Dark Horse Golf Course near Sacramento, Calif., which ran in the summer of 2006.
The Thomas home was voted “Best Interior” by the attendees of the home show.
