Why limit yourself to the FM dial when you’re waking up in the morning, getting ready for work, or at work all day? There are thousands of Internet radio stations, and Aluratek is giving you an all-access pass.

The company will launch its Internet Radio Alarm Clock with MP3 Player on Tuesday, May 13, which will let users listen to Internet radio streams, FM radio, or their own digital music library, all in a sleek, compact form factor.

The Internet Radio Alarm Clock is compatible with universal plug-n-play audio servers like Microsoft’s Media Player, Microsoft Media Connect and MusicMatch Jukebox, where you can access thousands of web streams at no cost.

You can access digital media through a wireless connection with WiFi 802.11b and g to stream Internet radio, use an Ethernet connection to stream, or use the USB 2.0 connectivity for your MP3, WMA and WVA files on an MP3 player or hard drive.

And as an alarm clock, yes, you can wake up to your favorite Internet radio stations too. As a bonus, turn it to a station a time zone or two behind you, so you can skip the incessant morning DJ chatter.

Aluratek’s Internet Radio Alarm Clock with MP3 Player carries an MSRP of $199.

Kind of “fugly”. Of course wtih all clock radios it’s tough to tell by looking at them how easy the interface is to use. Add to that the complexity of making an easy to use interface for the WiFi radio and I’d give this a big “we’ll see”
