Just because today’s TVs are slimming down to supermodel-skinny sizes doesn’t automatically mean we love seeing it on our wall. Some people look for more elegant concealment solutions for their wall-mounted flat-panel TVs, like Vutec’s ArtScreen—and Vutec is taking measures to accommodate a slimmer look itself.

The company has introduced a Slimline ArtScreen solution for the Hitachi Ultra Thin 1.5 series TVs, which are just 1 9/16 inches deep and offered in 32 and 37 inches.

Vutec’s Slimline version of its popular ArtScreen gives you the traditional attractive artwork to hide the TV when it’s not in use, but with new casing that’s only 4 inches deep compared with the standard 6- and 7-inch deep ArtScreen casings.

That also means you can have a truly flush appearance when they’re recessed into any standard 4-inch deep interior wall. Talk about a way to wow friends.

Don’t worry about the shallower depth affecting any of the tried-and-true Vutec mechanics—the company says things such as the wood frame, roller, artwork, motor and attached hardware remain the same as previous models. This new model will be a forerunner for other brands who go ultra thin, says Vutec—a good excuse to make artwork and TVs look even more attractive.
