When it comes to pricing, there’s much ado about Vudu. The company has cut the price of its Vudu HD on-demand Internet movie player set-top box in half, making it only $149 now.

That’s after some tasty holiday pricing of $99 for the set-top box, which delivers more than 13,000 movies and TV shows, 1,300 high-definition titles and free Internet content from which to choose.

You can grab the now-$149 Vudu HD box and access to its crispy HDX high-def movie selections from your local Best Buy.

There’s also a Vudu XL version that is sold through custom installers, and presumably the XL stands for “extra-large” movie collection because you can store five hundred purchased movies on the box. It’s price has been dropped to $499.

Another price cut is on Vudu’s wireless kit, which now goes for $79.
