The LS5145 can receive both landline and cellular calls on the expandable system.
Ask any public relations or telemarketing person—I never answer my cell phone. The reason is simple: The reception in my house stinks. It’s actually the only thing that keeps me clinging to a landline.
VTech’s LS5145 might force me to take more calls at home. The 5.8GHz unit is the first in the VTech line to allow both cell and landline calls. Not sure if that’s good when it comes to wanting the workday (or week) to come to an end, but I’m a big fan of having options.
That feature comes courtesy of the LS5145’s Bluetooth support, which also allows users to connect up to eight devices to the base unit.
It also looks pretty darn cool. It sounds cool too; and if you don’t think so, you can choose one of the other 15 preloaded ringtones or you can record one of your own.
Other features include a high-res 65K color display with animated wallpaper, a phonebook directory, digital answering system, intercom and speakerphone features, and expandability up to 12 handsets.
The VTech LS5145 is available now for your yapping pleasure, for just $149.95.
