Some hanging HDTVs look as light as a feather. Um, they’re not. You should try holding up an HDTV while the family watches two hours of American Idol.

Thankfully, you don’t have to. There are a variety of mounts to do that dirty (and heavy) work. However, Video Mount Products can do it with an extremely low profile.
