Let’s face it; the idea of a shelf doesn’t exactly send us scrambling for the credit card. It’s certainly not the flashiest piece in your media setup, but it may be one of the most important.

That’s because shelves, racks and mounts can keep some of your most precious (and pricey) components safe from hands, feet, dust and debris. One of the latest options is the CH-002B Wall Mount from Video Mount Products—and it’s a multitasker.

That’s because the CH-002B is designed to hold all sorts of components, including Blu-ray players, DVRs, gaming consoles and even your old VCR.

Weighing in at 7.3 pounds, the entire CH-002B unit measures 18-by-14.65-by-9.05 inches. It can hold up to 25 pounds of goodies, with black tempered glass and a black powder-coat finish. The shelf can also be mounted on a single stud or other mounting surface, as a stand-alone piece or with multiple CH-002B or CH-001B units to create a complete wall shelf system.

“With the amount of components utilized by today’s consumer in both the workplace and in the home, as well as the need to free up valuable shelf and furniture space, VMP’s new CH-002B wall mount component shelf is a stylish way to hold Blu-ray and DVD players, DVRs, HD receivers, CD players, VCRs, and gaming systems (including Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii),” said Keith Fulmer, president of Video Mount Products. “The CH-002B, which is a larger version of our popular CH-001B mount, can be used for a single device or ‘stacked’ for use with multiple devices.”

VMP is selling the CH-002B now, with an MSRP of $59.95.
