Well “America’s HDTV company” is trying to give back to everyone who wants high-def splendor in these trying economic times.
After shelling out big bucks to be the high-def sponsor of Super Bowl XLIII, perhaps you saw Vizio’s ad run during the Steelers’ victory on Sunday. The ad and sponsorship also kicked off a campaign by Vizio, which has quickly risen up the flat-panel market ranks, to give away a million dollars’ worth of HDTVs.
The company will award 28 weekly winners with a 55-inch XVT LCD HDTV, with 1080p resolution and 120 Hz technology. (Click here to enter its “Million Dollar Event.”)
Not a bad way to say thanks, as the company proclaims it’s doing via the contest, to everyone who’s made the value play for a Vizio—whose recent plays have also been in the green and premium categories.
The first winner will be picked the week of February 23, 2009, and the last during the week of August 31, 2009. Registration ends August 14. Sounds like there’ll be plenty of competition for the TVs, as the company says website visits are up 400 percent since the Super Bowl.
