Vizio is expected to have its soundbar package in stores by Septemeber.
You’ve saved so much buying a Vizio TV, you may be able to throw some sound in—especially if it’s the company’s soundbar package.
Available this September, Crave says the company will launch the $299 package, which will include a soundbar and a wireless subwoofer.
Known for its super-cheap HDTVs, Vizio has barely dipped into the audio side of the entertainment market. Early this year, the company announced its Jive SV5.1 wireless speaker kit, which is designed to add 5.1-surround sound to any of the company’s Black Tie Series. However, it has yet to make an appearance at retail. Also, how weird that the price is also $299?
Recently a few companies have released similar soundbar products, which promise surround sound from a small package. So far, very little information is available on Vizio’s set. If it can rival the sound capabilities of Yamaha’s YSP-3050, we could possibly see a very interesting price war coming.
