Violin Speakers for the Classical Groupie
The Sounger Vin 1/8 Violin Speaker System cranks sound from an orchestra favorite.
August 08, 2008 | by Rachel Cericola

Classical fans now have speakers to match that taste in music. No, we’re not talking about tower speakers specifically designed to detail the triangle or guitarpsichord.

The Sounger Vin 1/8 Violin Speaker System may show off your love for the genre, but also amplifies your bad taste in decor. Armed with a slew of inputs, these speakers are designed to hook to a portable MP3 player or any other audio device. It even has a violin-themed amp, which promises LED lighting and 30 watts of total output.

Gizmodo says that each 19-inch tall unit sports 20 watts of sound and a spruce and maple case. However, if you’re going to invest the $770 for these, you can’t crank Guns ‘N Roses out of them, can you? It just seems wrong.

It sounds like a challenge, but one you’ll have to travel far for—the Sounger Vin 1/8 Violin Speaker System is only available in Korea.
